"Fair prices, but the wait was annoying"
I ordered a few garden plants from Gurney’s the prices felt reasonable for what I got. They weren’t the absolute cheapest, but the plants showed up in good shape and the quality matched the cost. The only thing that irritated me was the shipping — it took longer than I expected, and I found myself getting impatient waiting for them to arrive. Still, for the value, I’d probably order from them again.

The checkout was, like, okay overall, but it was a bit slow. I had to retry my payment once, which was kind of annoying, but it went through in the end.

"Shipping fees seemed a lot higher than I’m used to"
The plants arrived in good shape, so no complaints there. I’ve ordered plants online before, though, and the shipping and extra fees on this order felt way higher than what I’ve paid in the past. It made the overall cost a little hard to justify

"Shipping was way slower than expected"
My order ended up taking a lot longer than I thought it would, and the tracking was barely any help. I kept checking it and it just sat in the same place for days, which was frustrating. Then it finally showed up and a couple of the items looked kind of beat up from being in transit so long. what was even happening with that shipment? Maybe I just got unlucky, but I don’t really feel like I can trust the shipping time here again...

"Not worth the wait"
I waited in line way longer than I expected, which was already frustrating, and then ended up with bad seeds and weak, half-dead plants. Disappointing experience overall.

"Helpful enough, but kind of incomplete"
The planting guide was okay and did help me get started, so that was nice. But some of the care steps felt a little too basic, like... I was hoping for more detail, I guess. I still had to look up spacing and watering info somewhere else. Not terrible or anything, just kind of average.

"Spring shipping was a bit of a pain"
I ordered for spring, and the shipping timing was kind of confusing as hell. I get that they have to ship based on the weather so the plants don’t get wrecked, but the dates weren’t super clear when I checked out. They did show up in decent shape, just later than I expected, which was annoying. Not a total disaster or anything, but next time I’d order way earlier so I’m not sitting around wondering what the heck is going on

"Helpful catalog, but I expected more"
I liked using the catalog to get ideas for my garden, and it definitely helped me plan a bit. But I was a little disappointed with the site overall. Some of the plant details felt incomplete, and it wasn’t always easy to compare options side by side. It’s useful, but I wish it had been clearer and more thorough.

"Using the site was hit or miss"
The site was kind of a pain to use. Sometimes it seemed fine, but other times I couldn’t find what I was looking for and the pages would load weird or not quite right. Definitely a hit-or-miss experience

My order from Gurney's showed up packed really well. Uh, nothing was smashed or dried out, and the plants looked healthy when I opened the box. Shipping took about as long as I figured it would. Overall, I’m happy with how everything arrived

The plants arrived in okay condition, but they were definitely much smaller than the photos made them seem. I get that pictures can be a bit misleading, but this was still disappointing. Not awful, just not really what I thought I was paying for...

"Coupon worked, but... not a huge discount"
The promo code did work, so that was nice, but... it didn’t really take much off. It felt okay overall, just kind of limited, you know?

"Not much to choose from"
I was expecting a lot more variety, but the selection felt limited. I couldn’t find half the things I came in looking for, which was frustrating. On top of that, when I asked about it, I kind of felt like I was being talked down to instead of actually helped. Overall, just a disappointing experience.

"Loved the plants, but wow, the emails need to chill"
I ordered from gurneys.com one time for some garden supplies, and at first I was like, okay cool, that was easy enough. Then suddenly my inbox started getting hit with emails constantly, and catalogs kept showing up in my mailbox too. I don’t even hate the company or anything — actually, I was happy with what I ordered, but the amount of advertising after one purchase is ridiculous. I tried unsubscribing, but it still feels like they’re everywhere. i went from interested customer to annoyed fast.

"Pretty Helpful Zone info"
I really liked that the plants had the growing zones listed so clearly. it made picking stuff for my area way easier. One of the plants still didn’t do great, but Overall it was a good experience and I’d use it again...

"Good customer service when something went wrong"
Part of my plant order showed up in rough shape, so I reached out to customer service. They replied quicker than I expected and sent a replacement without making me jump through a bunch of hoops. It did take a little longer than I would’ve liked, but overall they handled it well and made it right. I’d feel comfortable ordering from them again...

"Cool selection, but what happened with shipping??"
I ordered because they had some really unique seeds and plants that I never see at my local stores. The variety was the best part. A couple of items showed up later than I expected though, so that was a little frustrating. Not a terrible experience or anything, just kind of a mixed one, you know??

"Billing was fine, but a little confusing"
Ordering was easy overall, but the payment part threw me off a bit. My card got charged before I really knew when everything was supposed to ship, which was kind of annoying. Maybe their system just processes payments automatically before the shipping details are fully set, but I’m not totally sure. Nothing actually went wrong and the amount charged was correct, I just wish the billing and timing info had been clearer. Overall, it was an okay experience.

"Still not sure what the refund guarantee was for"
I thought the refund guarantee would make things simple, but I’m confused. It sounded reassuring at first, then when I actually tried to get a refund, it turned into way more of a hassle than I expected.

"Descriptions were way off"
This was nothing like the description said. I don’t know who’s in charge of writing or checking these listings, but whoever runs this really needs to get it together.
